Alexa Hazell - Occupational Therapist
MSc in Rehabilitation- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
Alexa has joined the team to lead and develop the Occupaptional Therapy service. Alexa is an experienced therapist who has specialised in the field of neuro-rehabilitation, and until joining the team, held a senior position in a community neurological rehabilitation team in the West Midlands. Alexa is experienced in cognitive rehabilitation, managment of behavioural issues in the community, vocational rehabilitation, activities of daily living and upper limb splinting.
Alexa has a particular interest in assistive technology and telehealthcare and their use in the field of rehabilitation and her role will include responsibility for the Headwise contribution to the 'Cogwatch' research project. The Cogwatch project has been funded by the European Union and involves a number of international partners including the University of Birmingham.
