Jayne Brake
Consultant Occupational Therapist
Jayne qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1987 and has spent most of her career working in the field of community brain injury rehabilitation. She has worked in public and private sector community brain injury services, in London, Leeds and Sheffield and has recently joined Headwise, based in the Shrewsbury office.
Jayne has a wealth of clinical experience and enjoys working with clients to maximise their independence, improve their quality of life and help them achieve their goals. In addition to her clinical work, Jayne also carries out expert witness Care and Occupational Therapy assessments, as well as preparing Immediate Needs Assessments under the Rehabilitation Code. Jayne sits on the National Committee of the College of Occupational Therapists Brain Injury Forum, has been involved in writing the UK Standards and also a Guidance Document for Occupational Therapists working with clients with a brain injury. Jayne has published in the World Federation of Occupational Therapy Journal, as well as having two book chapters published with co-authors in “Good Practice in Brain Injury Case Management” Jessica Kingsley Publishers, May 2006. |
